Diaspora to Afrika Cultural Exchange Immersion Retreats, Tours...
...and Pan-Afrikan Professional Development Workshops...
Diaspora to Afrika® is founded and operated by Ìyálóde Ọ̀jẹ̀, Chief Ìyánifá Ifáṣèyí Ọlátúnjí-Arẹ̀sà, an American-born descendant of the Yorùbá people. Diaspora to Afrika’s primary mission is to facilitate cross-cultural connections between indigenous intellectuals, artists and professionals in diverse fields of expertise from around Planet Earth. The partnership between Orí Counseling Services and Diaspora to Afrika has facilitated over 100 ancestral, educational and cultural voyages to Nigeria within the last 5 years. Amazingly, despite the COVID-19 global pandemic, the duo was able to continue their cross-cultural and ancestral mission without a break in continuity. Though fully operational for close to 30 years, the two forces combined to set a new record in 2021 by hosting 50 professionals simultaneously from around the global diaspora; their professions were wide-ranging, from the culinary arts to carpentry, from the visual arts to the literary arts, from professional truck drivers to active military personnel, from college professors to musical artists and more… Funded 100% by self-investment, these thoughtfully planned cultural exchanges have been layered and rich in content since inception, and aimed at bridging the gap between indigenous Afrikans and people of Afrikan descent from around the global diaspora. You are invited, so join us!
